Mosquito Facts:
- The journey from egg to adult in a mosquito happens very rapidly, sometimes completing its life cycle in only a few days!
- Their eggs are laid in water, in clusters called “rafts”. The larvae spend their time before turning into adults in standing water and are called “wrigglers”
- Some mosquitoes can breed in as small as a capful of water!
- Asian Tiger mosquitoes bite throughout the day while the typical house mosquito tends to be out and biting around dawn and dusk.
